Premiers jours à New Delhi. Erste Tage in New Delhi. First days in NewDelhi.

Arakashan Road, où est notre hôtel. 

Nous voilà arrivé en Inde après 17h de voyage. On a survécu à notre première expérience en taxi, un vieux taco qui roule à 30 km/h sur l'autoroute. Notre hôtel avait perdu notre réservation. On a finalement eu une chambre pour midi. Niveau confort et propreté, il faudra faire avec...
On s'habitue doucement au rythme de la ville, à la circulation, aux bruits de klaxon et à la foule. Mais le plus pénible reste les sollicitations des rabatteurs en tous genres. On s'est fait avoir une fois par un conducteur de rickshaw, ça nous aura couté 20 Roupies et une marche de 30min...
Aujourd'hui on s'est promené dans Old Delhi pour visiter le Red Fort, ensemble de jardins et de palaces inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco. On a partagé une table pour le déjeuner chez Karim´s, un resto populaire plein de locaux et de quelques touristes. Bonne pioche, on a très bien mangé.
En conclusion deux bonnes journées á New Delhi, encore quatres á venir avant de partir pour le Rajasthan.
Jusque là tout va bien.

Une rue de Old Delhi

Wir sind nach 17 Stunden Reise um 8 Uhr morgens endlich in Indien angekommen und haben auch gleich unsere erste Taxifahrt in einer Rostlaube bei 30 km/h auf der Autobahn ueberlebt. Im Hotel angekommen, konnte man unsere Reservierung nicht finden, aber wir konnten nach 12 Uhr dann doch unserer Zimmer beziehen. Komfort und Sauberkeit etwas gewoehnungsbeduerftig, aber machbar.
Wir gewoehnen uns langsam an den Rhythmus der Stadt, den Verkehr, das Dauerhupen der Autos, den staendigen Geruch nach Rauch und an die Menschenmassen. Aber das laestigste bleibt doch die Dauerbedraengung der Leute in
den Strassen, die dir staendig etwas verkaufen oder zeigen wollen. Wir sind auch gleich auf einen Tuk-Tuk Fahrer hereingefallen, was uns aber nur 20 Rupien und einen 30 Minutenmarsch gekostet hat. Aus Erfahrung wird man ja bekanntlich klug.
Heute haben wir hauptsaechlich Old Delhi und das Red Fort besichtigt und danach einen Tisch mit 6 Einheimischen im uns empfohlenem Restaurant Karim's geteilt. Super Essen und tolle Atmosphaere. Alles in allem zwei interessante Tage in New Delhi. noch 4 mehr und wir fahren mit dem Nachtzug nach Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. Soweit also alles ok.

After 17h of journey we finally arrived in India. We already survived our first experience in an indian taxi driving 20mph on the highway in a very old vehicle. Once we made it to our hotel, they couldn't find our reservation but we finally got a room after midday. Regarding cleanliness and comfort, we will get used to it...
We slowly get used to the rhythm of the city, the noise,the traffic and the crowd. But the most annoying is the constant harassment of touts. One rickshaw driver already got us into an useless drive but it only cost us 20 Rupees and a 30min walk.
Today we visited Old Delhi and the Red Fort, part of the Unesco World Heritage and shared a table with some locals in a well known restaurant in Delhi. Good fo
od and a good mix of locals and tourists. In total two nice days at New Delhi, four more to come before leaving for Rajasthan.
So far so good.
